Description

Coupling agent coated magnesium hydroxide is easy to disperse into PE, EVA, and PVC. It is widely used to produce magnesium hydroxide flame retardant for cable sheath, septum, electronic equipment covers and etc.

Flame-retardant mechanism of Magnesium Hydroxide Flame Retardant

1. Decomposition of magnesium hydroxide absorbs heat, which is beneficial to reduce the flame combustion temperature.
2. The decomposition of magnesium hydroxide create water, it’s not only the coolant, also reduce the smoke density as thinner.
3. The decomposition of magnesium hydroxide creates MgO, which is featured with big specific surface. So it is easy to absorb smoke and cover the combustible material.
