UL 94 Vertical Burning Test – This test measures the flame spread, burn length and presence of flaming drips for PVC samples. Ratings range from V-0 to V-2, with V-0 having the best flame resistance.

UL 1685 Vertical Tray Flame Test – This test is specifically for wire and cable insulation materials. Samples are exposed to an open flame and observed for fire propagation and flaming drips. Materials must self-extinguish within specified time limits.
